New Britpop band seeks singer/lead guitar/bass/drums Kent

Brand new Britpop band starting up. This is your chance to get involved from day one. Looking for vocals, lead guitar, bass and drums to play mainly paid functions across Kent and beyond

- Playing mostly the well-known, mainstream indie hits from Blur, Oasis, Suede, Pulp, Supergrass, Sleeper, Elastica etc. that a crowd will know and love, but we can also play a few of our personal favourites and B-sides from other bands. We can decide the songs between us, but won't go for anything too obscure that will turn off the audience. If you know and love this music, that would be perfect.

- Will need to get together to rehearse for 8-10 weeks to get tight and sound professional

- Aiming to mostly play paid functions (birthdays, weddings, club nights etc) but need to be prepared to play some unpaid or low pay pub gigs sometimes to get exposure and advertise what we do

- Will gig about twice a month, ideally

- Looking for people who are 100% reliable, honest, easy going and have gear and transport. Age and gender don't matter. If you commit to a rehearsal or gig, you turn up. Hopefully not too much to ask for!

- Covers/function band experience would be great, but reliability and commitment are far more important

I play keys, rhythm guitar and sing BVs. In my mid 40's, and have experience of several cover bands playing hundreds of pub/club/wedding/party/festival gigs. Really want to get back into playing live after a bit of time out with a young family. Looking for some reliable people who want to get something decent started up, and commit to this. If you're already in 1-2 bands this isn't going to work! I'm based in Thanet and happy to rehearse anywhere central in Kent or East Kent. I work in marketing so can help with getting gigs, contracts, setting up a website and all the admin side. Just need to find some good people to get involved
