I'm a professional guitarist/singer looking to start something new that's fun, easy to manage, quick to set up and capable of earning good money.
The idea is a stripped-back acoustic duo: I'll play acoustic guitar and sing, while you'd play percussion of your choice — cajon, small kit, djembe, etc. Vocals would be shared, with harmonies and some lead vocals from both of us.
You don't need to be the next Freddie Mercury! ???? But a good ear for harmonies, a solid sense of rhythm and the ability to play musically with another person are important.
I've already got the PA, desk, monitor/IEM setup, lights etc., so you'd only need your own percussion gear, mic and transport.
The aim:
• Minimal rehearsals — ideally learn material individually and get together to tighten things up
• Start with some pubs/venues to build the act and live footage
• Ultimately target better-paid functions, private parties and background/corporate work
• Keep the whole thing compact, professional and hassle-free
Musically, I'm thinking a mixture of upbeat acoustic covers for functions, more chilled material for background settings, and enough versatility to take requests and wing it when appropriate. I'm open to where the two of us naturally take it — if we discover a particular niche that works brilliantly, even better.
I'm also involved in several other working bands, so for the right person there may be occasional dep work available with those bands too.
I'm looking for a reliable, experienced musician who enjoys playing, sings well and wants a simple project that could develop into some well-paid work.
If that sounds like you, drop me a message with a bit about yourself, your experience and what you're currently playing.
