Yo my name is Billy I'm 28, I've been a musician since I was about 7. Started playing guitar then moved on to drums when I was about 13, have been playing since and can play drums to grade 8 standard and guitar to about a grade 5, (mainly rhythm, not really a soloer). Was in a metalcore band for a good few years and played a lot of live shows up and down the UK as a drummer, but since COVID we've gone inactive. Still continued to play but moved back onto guitar writing my own material with help from others. Haven't played drums properly for about a year but I've played about 7000 hours so I can just play any time, just not as tight as I used to be.
Moved to wallasey about 18 months ago and looking to meet some like minded people musically, and hopefully some people who are interested in writing/collabing or just bouncing ideas around, maybe go for a few pints on the weekend or the odd show at the Molly's.
Doesn't have to be in person either, happy to have a remote friend.
Musically I'm all over the place, I like a lot of different music and have written all sorts of *hite.
In order of what I mess about the most with it's:
- djent/prog (periphery, tesseract, meshuggah, dream theatre, all that kind stuff)
- metal (genuinely so many bands)
- rock
- funk
- soul/Motown
- rap
- swing / big band
- electronic (d&b, dubstep)
I have a pretty eclectic taste and I like more genres but they're the main ones

I don't drive just to let you know but I have room at mine for a jam.
So if you wanna chat, lemme know, I'm not shy and I won't give you crappy one word answers, I'm genuinely interested in meeting new people. I have a lot of ideas I've been working on and it would be cool to meet someone who can help push things along. I'm not great at note theory but I know the basics, I just wing it most of the time, I know a few scales and modes so I would be really happy if you know more than me.
