Established touring tribute band looking for a bassist. Kinda Blondie plus side projects for local pub/club/festival/ event gigs.
The band have been operating as a trio or using some amazing deps but are expanding to tour through the next year and beyond so need a dedicated rhythm section rather than be a side project or occasional drop-in. We have our drummer and just need that bass spot filling by someone with the time and freedom to commit and preferably without other music commitments.
Ideally you'll be based in/around Teesside, have gear and transport, available for gigs at least every weekend and for midweek evening rehearsals, and possibly midweek gigs, across mainland uk. Flexibility is key but we fully appreciate also that people have lives! An online calendar and availability diary are used to block out holidays, etc.
Averaging four or five paid gigs per month with equal profit share and no agency fee. You'll likely be old enough to remember Blondie, but young enough to show some dynamism on stage and dress the part for themed events. Clean shaven and with a classic Blondie suited style.
We're really looking for someone who has a genuine love for (mostly 80's) guitar and synth pop and who are ready to launch into a music project they will be part of, not just members of. If you have real drive and want to be part of the family, not just turn up and play for the money, that's what they're looking for.
The core trio are totally committed, reliable, consistent, passionate about performing for an audience, making a success of the band, push promotion, contribute to the whole and are looking for the same from their bandmates.
It's not just the Blondie tribute too. The same core trio operate as a full on 80's band, pro level function band, raunchy pub band and more so there are plenty of options and you will be busy.
Do you have that? Can you feel it? Could you put your heart and soul into this?
