Hi,
I'm a semi-retired multi-instrumentalist guy in my 50s. I'm interested in hearing from any musicians who can be available during the day Monday-Friday to form a band. I've got no evenings free (I'm already in a couple of bands that rehearse then), so it really has to be day-time.
I've got gear and rehearsal space, play bass, acoustic/electric guitar, keyboards, and can sing some backing vocals (I'm not really a lead singer). I like the creative process and collaborative writing, so writing, performing, and recording originals is on the cards. But I'm also happy to play covers.
I'd love to hear from you whatever instrument you play but am particularly interested in hearing from singers, lead instrument players (electric guitarists, fiddle, sax, etc.), and percussionists.
I'm really open to all musical genres, so easier to say what I don't want: I'm not interested in modern pop like Adele, Ed Sheeran etc, and I'm not interested in thrash metal.
Everything else is of interest - very interested in leftfield and/or electronic stuff (I've got synths, if you are a guitarist and know who Ed Wynne or Steve Hillage are, I want to hear from you!). Also very interested in roots stuff - folk, reggae, ska, old-style blues - or old electronic pop (e.g. The Cure, Japan, Eurythmics, mid-seventies Bowie, Kate Bush), old rockers (e.g. Led Zep, Floyd, Deep Purple, REM, etc), acoustic acts like Simon&Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell, old-style punks like The Clash or the Sex Pistols - anything really. Just not Ed Sheeran....
If this is of interest, please drop me a DM and say hi. If you can include a link to you playing something, that would be great but not essential.
I hope to hear from you
Mike
