Hi there,
We are an established covers band that has been going for 12 years and we continue to be busy.
We are looking for a local guitarist to do a “job share”.
Let me explain….
We had the same guitarist for 9 years who then left, we then struggled to find someone else to fit personality wise, so we currently use a very talented guitarist as a permanent dep, he has played with us on and off for 8 years, but he has been our full-time dep guitarist for the last 2 years, he is a very busy man and sometimes cannot fulfil the gigs that are in the diary, so we use someone to slot in to save cancelling gigs, the trouble is, he is not local.
So basically, we are looking for someone to do 50% of the gigs, possibly more, and eventually you may well end up doing them all.
We are looking for an excellent confident guitarist that knows all the usual pop / rock party songs, we try not to do the same as everyone else but we are pretty much "anthemic" in our choices. If you are a vocalist too that would be fabulous, even if only backing vocals that would help.

We like to be out most weekends if we can be, so you would need to be up for that and obviously have a car to get around and be prepared to muck in as part of the team.
We cover venues along the M40 corridor, covering Oxfordshire & Warwickshire and even venture into Birmingham & Gloucestershire on the odd occasion. Mainly clubs & pubs but we do weddings, parties and festivals too.
This would probably suit someone who has a “9-5” job but wants to play regularly and have some extra pin money coming in.
We consist of:
Female lead singer (& gig getter etc)
Male drummer
Male bassist
None of us have massive egos and we all get along nicely and have done for the past 12 years.
We would like/want you to come along to some gigs and see what we do and so that you can gauge if you think you would be happy doing the songs we do. Personality is very much at the forefront in respect of all four of us getting along.
We have plenty of gigs in the diary and we are looking for someone that is committed to gigging.
