I'm looking for others to begin a collaboration with.
Previously I have been writing, and using my voice in the creation of introspective, expressive material, using writing and the voice in both abstract and lucid ways. I have contributed my voice recently to a couple of intimate concerts and was part of a band up until last year. Individually I've been focused on sonic art pieces, combining organic sounds and naive music-making, interested in textures, space, unprocessed and naked expression. A kind of indigenous, raw, immersive experience of the voice and it's use in story-telling and embodying the abstract and mysterious really interest me. But I love more conventional music forms too and I'm learning how to play bass guitar. I'm really looking for like-minded people to create something authentic with.
I'm looking mainly for others who appreciate a sensitive and evocative grunge kind of sound with visceral pagan/folk elements. However I'm a fan of many different forms of music, and some ambient touches. I'm really open to your ideas as a creative musician, and your instrument or medium. Perhaps you also sing, and would be interested in creating some acapella harmonies.
I would like to involve other mediums like movement, lighting etc in our work, eventually. I see this as something with potential and life, exploring and multi-disciplinary as much as putting together original material to perform. I'm especially interested in immersing oneself in wilderness and alternative language.
