**THE FRONT RANK ARE RECRUITING**
Southsea-based original British rock band looking for:
**Singer
Guitarist
Bassist
Drummer**
I’m a guitarist and songwriter based in Southsea, looking to put together a serious new line-up for rehearsals, recording and gigs in Portsmouth, London and across the UK.
This isn’t a pub covers band looking to earn a few quid playing other people’s songs.
The Front Rank already have professionally recorded and released original music streaming worldwide on Spotify and Apple Music. The foundations are there; now I’m looking for the right musicians to build a proper band around it and take things much further.
The sound sits somewhere between the swagger of classic British rock and big, modern, stadium-sized anthems. Think **Oasis, Stereophonics, The Verve and Kasabian**—strong songs, loud guitars, memorable choruses and music written to be played live.
I’m looking for:
**A singer** with a huge voice, confidence, charisma and the stage presence to own a crowd.
**A guitarist** who can add power, texture and personality without turning every song into a competition.
**A bassist** who can lock in with the drums, drive the songs forward and bring genuine presence to the live show.
**A drummer** who hits hard, plays tight and brings energy, groove and attitude to every song.
You’ll need to:
• Love writing and performing original music.
• Be able to commit to regular rehearsals, recording and gigs.
• Have reliable equipment and transport, or a realistic way of getting to rehearsals and shows.
• Want to build something that reaches beyond the local pub circuit.
• Believe British rock music still has plenty left to say.
Away from the music, the band has its roots in that ’90s British working-class culture—football, indie rock, trainers, pints, humour and the whole Britpop era. You don’t need to fit a stereotype, but if that world feels familiar, you’ll probably understand where the band is coming from.
