Post-Progressive Rock Saxophone Solo
Baritone and tenor saxophone for progressive/experimental rock track
I’m looking for a saxophonist to record three connected solo passages for an already finished song. Please listen to the track before sending an offer:
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgWGRjMg-zQ&t=404s
The performance should feel anguished, physical and increasingly unstable—not smooth jazz, lounge sax or polished session wallpaper. Breath, reed noise, strain and ugly edges are welcome where musically appropriate.
Sections
36:00–36:43 — Baritone sax
Enter gradually, as though emerging from underneath the track. Develop into the first proper solo, then stop cleanly at 36:43.
38:00–38:56 — Baritone and/or tenor
Return with greater force and keep building. It should become increasingly urgent, then end with a sudden drop at 38:56.
39:40–40:22 — Tenor and/or baritone crescendo
The final escalation: intense, emotional and close to breaking apart. The ending will later be pitch-bent and bit-crushed in the mix, so give me something strong enough to survive heavy processing.
Total required performance time is approximately 2 minutes 21 seconds.
Please include:
Your proposed combination of baritone and tenor
A fixed price for all three sections
Relevant rock, progressive, experimental or free-playing samples
One or more alternative takes where practical
Separate dry, unprocessed stems
24-bit / 48 kHz WAV
No reverb, compression, mastering or backing track mixed into the files
Files beginning from the same zero point as the supplied track, so they align immediately
Improvisation is encouraged, but it must respond to the existing music rather than simply playing over it. Please do not send a generic offer without listening first.
