Riff Foundry are a 5 piece rock covers band hailing from South and West Yorkshire. We are currently looking for a dynamic, energetic and talented rhythm/lead guitarist who has an insatiable appetite for playing hair rock and metal from the 80’s and 90’s. We cover bands such as Ratt, Y&T, Poison, FM, Thunder, Whitesnake, Scorpions, Kiss, Bon Jovi plus loads more.
This would suit someone who isn’t already in a heavily gigging band and only wants to gig a few times a month.
We have already played some high profile gigs, such as supporting top UK Motley Crue tribute band “Motley Crude” at Venue 23, and will be supporting them again later this year, as well as also securing a slot at the prestigious Yorkshire Rock and Bike Show in August. Other gigs are currently coming in for the rest of the year.
We are looking for someone who is committed to learning the material to a very good standard, is reliable, likes to have fun but takes the music seriously and will bring their influences to the band. Please have your own gear, transport, a good work ethic and an aversion to drama. A good sense of humour is an absolute must!!!
Please also be aware that we want someone is just as happy playing rhythm guitar as lead. There is a fair amount of twin solo harmonies and other solos, but if you are looking to be only lead guitarist in the band, we are not right for you.
