Looking for Drummers, Bassists, Guitarists, Singers and other Musicians to help form a Modern yet Melodic Heavy Rock band based on the style of acts like: Alter Bridge, Black Stone Cherry, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Breaking Benjamin and more.
Following is a link to a Demo Tape of songs I have put together: https://soundcloud.com/billyraykingg/sets/new-project-demo-tape-no-1?si=8b525cb30aa34091932bbfd803c3892a&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing
I have recorded and programmed every part of these songs at home, but I welcome interpretation and creativity as I only want these songs to be the best it can be (singers, if you wanna put your own spin on this; Do not be afraid to ask. I am more than happy to be a backing vocalist). These have been recorded in a variety of tunings, which is a huge part of my song writing and I aim to get weirder with it.
Age, Gender and Life Situation doesn't matter (I am 27, based in Stockport-area and I gig in cover bands currently, so I definitely understand the need to make time on a calendar), just talent, personality and a commitment to making this a good time is all I care about. Curiosity about gear, recording and the ability to put on a stadium-sized live show in bar-sized venues will get you far.
Backing Vocals will be hugely advantageous as this is a huge part of the wall of sound that I am aiming to achieve with this band (ability to harmonize so we can get them sweet Def Leppard/Alice In Chains vocals or the willingness for gang vocals just to thicken up that sound). I have also never worked with anyone or tried to write music which would suit Screams and can definitely hear it in some of these demos (I can't do it), so I would be curious to hear about that.
You will be joining a project in its very early days at this stage, I don't have a name or a plan just yet but I do have years of experience in other bands and a good idea of where I would like to go. I just want to create a good dynamic, do special gigs and put some great music out.
Happy to answer any further questions, drop us a message!
