Me and the drummer are looking for a singer and bassist to complete a new band.
We're both in our 30s and have both played professionally before. We've got a pretty clear idea of what we want to do with this rather than just wanting to throw a band together and see what happens.
I'm on guitar and we've already got a really tight, hard-hitting drummer. Just looking for the right singer and bassist to complete it.
The idea is to have 2 different styles/setlists so we can cover different types of gigs.
The music could go from Aerosmith, Bon Jovi and 80s/90s rock & metal, through to System of a Down, Linkin Park, 90s/00s nu-metal, grunge, alternative and pop-punk.
For vocals we're looking for clean, powerful rock vocals. No growling or extreme metal vocals — someone who can handle the big rock stuff as well as the heavier songs.
We want to put our own sound on the songs rather than just trying to recreate the original recordings exactly. Still keeping the songs recognisable and true to what makes them good, but with our own tones and feel as a band.
The aim is to be able to play bars, clubs, tribute nights, festivals, weddings/functions and private gigs, with different sets depending on the type of gig.
We're not looking to rehearse forever and never play ???? We already know roughly what we're aiming for and want to get tight, build a strong set and get out gigging.
Looking for a good vocalist who's confident, has a powerful clean voice and can bring their own personality to it.
Also looking for a solid bassist who's reliable, wants to gig and is on the same page.
