I'm looking for musicians to collaborate with on my solo project, SilvR.
I'm 27 years old, and am preferably looking for musicians in that age range.
The music sits somewhere between alternative rock, shoegaze, grunge and metal, with cinematic and atmospheric elements. The tunings in ad Standard and I'm looking to work with a drummer, bassist and second guitarist who enjoy exploring different sounds and bringing their own ideas to the music.
I'm primarily the songwriter and will continue to lead the overall creative direction, but I'm not looking for people who simply want to play along to finished recordings. I'd like collaborators who can contribute creatively, whether that's drum arrangements, bass parts, harmonies, textures, riffs or other ideas.
I'm also very open to suggestions, ideas and musical contributions from other members. In fact, I'd actively encourage people to bring their own ideas to the project.
However, I prefer to discuss ideas beforehand rather than being presented with new riffs or arrangements during rehearsals and expected to work them out there and then. If someone has a riff, progression or arrangement they'd like to explore, I'd appreciate receiving a recording or demo in advance so I can listen to it, think about it and work out what I might contribute.
The same applies to covers and other material. I'm primarily interested in writing and developing original music rather than learning other people's songs. I don't generally do covers, and I'd prefer any proposed material to be discussed beforehand. I like having the opportunity to learn and prepare things in my own time.
I'd like rehearsals to be planned, with everyone having a reasonable idea of what we're working on before we arrive.
A little about what I'm looking for:
Musicians based in Greenwich or South East London.
People who are reliable, communicative and genuinely interested in developing a project.
A collaborative approach, with clear creative direction.
No immediate touring commitments – the focus is on writing, recording and developing the music.
Someone who is happy to discuss shared project costs and responsibilities openly.
I'm happy to exchange music and ideas online initially, so there's no pressure to jump straight into rehearsals.
If this sounds interesting, send me a message with a little about yourself, your influences and, ideally, something you've played on.
