Trying again to join a local Derbyshire based band that is already playing and performing...
I'm 61, I've got my own gear and just want to get playing again, was in a Band in the 80's called Vancouver... I live in Belper North of Derby - so need that to be the centre of gigs..

Musical Likes - Jazz/Blues/Light Rock/Folk or Pop/Dance Covers 80s/90s
Musical Dislikes - Earth Wind and Fire, Fusion/Funk, Squeeze, Punk, Heavy Rock, Indie
Travel - local to Belper/Derby - 1 or 2 gigs a month plus the odd rehearsal... the odd local festival would be good. I can read music and play by ear.
Been playing since I was a lad - Elton John, Coldplay, Faithless, Becky Hill, Bruce Hornsby, Diplo.

I tried to form a band last year, but too much hassle, trying find a sound and a set list we could all agree on, plus the right people that want to play with each other, also the levels of musician - its not easy right?
So I'd much prefer to join an established outfit that is already performing and has a successful musical style and play what people want to hear, not what the members of a band think the public want to hear, in line with my likes/dislikes stated above.. prefer band to be already formed, got bookings and just need that keys/piano addition or replacement for a keys member leaving.
Also can play a bit of Rhythm Guitar, Bass and even Tenor Saxophone if needed, but keys is main strength...
