Chance & the Lucky Aces are on the hunt for a new guitarist and a keyboardist/Synthesist.
To save you a scroll and overexercising your eyeballs: this is about having fun, not taking life too seriously, and just jumping in. If you don’t like having fun, then here is your cue to exit.
The band set-up is slightly unusual, in that our drummer and bassist are in the West Country, and I am here in Leeds. That means we tend to be more of a studio band (for now).
Our usual foray — but not limited to — is battles, bastards and history; you can find our “Best Of” playlist on Spotify and links to our other streaming services here.

and a bit about the band ethos here.

We’ve got an EP project lined up for this spring/summer, which is a different direction than before; it’s heavily synth and eighties-noise influenced — think The Cure, New Order — but in the same breath think Men Without Hats and Kim Wilde.
For a guitarist: we’re looking for someone who spent too much money on an overdrive pedal and has been itching to justify the purchase (we have the perfect track for it), but at the same time remembers their classical PIMA fingering (again, we have a track for that).
For keys: have you been itching to hit that Rhodes sound on your keyboard? We’ve got your back. Plus, make use of all those sounds you have a secret guilty passion for (we’ve got three tracks for that).
In terms of commitment, there’s no fixed line-up carved in stone — right now we’re looking as far as the EP. If you come in, have a blast, and fancy sticking around, brilliant. If you decide it’s not your thing after the project, no hard feelings at all.
A final thing to add: we rank enthusiasm just as much as ability.
Thanks for reading this far, and if we’ve piqued your interest, then drop us a message. Regardless, have a great day.
