Hi,
I’m a guitarist from Manchester. I've been playing for about 15 years now - not as often as I should lately though.
I've been in a few bands but I've always preferred playing acoustic music, and the sound of just guitar and voice (with some accompaniment). I've played the guitar at open-mic nights, bars, and a few weddings and have been looking for a singer to team up with just to practice and see how things go, if anything just to encourage me to get playing more, and learning new songs with someone - rather than playing to myself at home - with a view to getting out into the world and playing live.
I know a fair range of stuff, and I'm more than happy to learn songs you'd like to sing. I’ve reworked a lot of heavier or electric songs into acoustic covers – something I like to do, working to re-imagine songs to suit a more stripped-down sound.
I'm also open to writing new music and am seeking a singer who’d like to have a go at writing as well as covers...if that's something you'd like to explore.
I have a big range of influences and I'm keen to try my hand at anything, both original and cover songs.
I have a car so transport isn't an issue, so any singers around the North West interested in trying something new with a view to eventually performing please get in touch. Age/gender isn’t an issue (I'm 32), at this point, I’d just like to meet up for a jam, maybe think about open-mic, to begin with and see if it leads to something more.
