5 piece female well established fronted band now looking for a replacement guitarist to take over our current guy.
No bad feeling, he’s just getting busier with another project.
The band has been together for over a decade with age ranges 30-50.
Backing vocals would be an advantage (male or female, no preference).
We have an excellent PA system, guitar amp not required as we DI everything (drums, bass and keys). We also have an excellent in ear monitoring system where you can control your own personal mix via your smartphone.
The band started of as a soul based covers band, which incorporated everything from Motown, disco, 80’s soul and 90’s RnB. We then added some more modern tunes and then introduced a full 80’s set (which is still in progress).
Typically we were very popular at weddings, but as these dried up took on more public gigs, so please bear in mind that we have a decent amount of gigs booked, but at the moment not hugely lucrative.
Manchester is the central location for us, so tend to rehearse there but we do travel out as far as Halifax and stoke for gigs.
We have plenty of recordings to use as learning material, mostly recorded on a phone but this will help with the feel and structure. Most songs don’t stray too far from the original and keys are mostly standard.
Our guitarist is leaving big shoes to fill and we will need most of the work doing at home before putting together at rehearsals, but we’re a decent bunch and will help in any way we can.
