UPDATE 17th October
I have had several guitarists and a drummer get in touch but are still interested in:
Keyboard Player
Lead vocals - ideally with a bit of acoustic guitar too
Once we have those extra two people we can start to move this forward

I thought I was leaving the area shortly but that doesn't appear to be the case, so I thought I'd float the idea of the above to see if there is anyone interested locally?
I've done bits of this before and there are a few bands doing it at the small theatre level, and whilst that would be a medium term ambition, even getting together, rehearsing and a few pub/club warm up gigs before hitting that level would be fun. As this stuff isn't exactly simply everyone would have to be "rehearsal ready" (i.e. know their own parts) before meeting up.
I'm thinking mainly 70s/80s bands and the lighter more "popular" end of the prog spectrum - so more Roundabout than a side of Tales of Topographic Oceans etc.
So may include (but very open to suggestions):
Roundabout/Starship Trooper - Yes
Tom Sawyer/Spirit of Radio - Rush
21CSM - King Crimson
Turn it on again/Invisible Touch/In the cage - Genesis
Aqualung/Locomotive Breath - Jethro Tull
Sheep/Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
Kayleigh/He knows you know - Marillion
Kansas - Carry on my wayward son
Plus maybe some Styx - don't know them as well
Some more modern stuff as examples
Paranoid Android - Radiohead
Knights of Cydonia - Muse
Trains/Blackest Eyes - Porcupine Tree
In terms of line up
I play bass but can also do bass pedals and backing vocals, so would need:
Lead vocals (ideally with acoustic guitar and or flute)
Lead guitar
Keyboards
Drums & Percussion
5, possibly 6 in total (e.g if there was a multi-instrumentalist who could do flute and guitar, plus a separate lead vocalist)
I'm a youthful 62 and have played in covers and tribute bands (The Who and Black Sabbath) with my first gig being in 1979! Live between Bridgnorth & Telford but happy to travel a bit for the right project.
Darkglass amp and main basses Fender Jazz deluxe and Rickenbacker 4003 - both pretty prog and a Roland FA06 and PK5 for the feet stuff!
If we can get a line up together we can meet in person or online, agree an initial set of songs and get busy!
Cheers
