WANTED: Musicians to Launch New Reggae Covers Project In Wolverhampton/West Midlands/Shropshire
Calling all musicians! We are forming a high-quality Reggae covers band dedicated to reimagining well known hits into authentic roots, dub, rocksteady, ska and reggae songs. We’d like to bring the live show to venues, festivals and parties in 2027.
If you have a solid pocket, love the genre, and want to gig for pay regularly, we want to hear from you.
This is a chance to get in at ground zero and help shape the direction and sound of the band.
Lineup Needed
Lead Vocals & Backing Vocalists: Dynamic performers with soulful tone, strong stage presence, and tight harmony skills. Rapping/Toasting a bonus.
Drums: Must have a rock-solid feel for classic reggae riddims and excellent timekeeping.
Keyboards: Skilled in bubbling, skanking, and dialing in authentic organ, piano, and synth tones.
Guitar (Rhythm/Lead): Master of the crisp skank/chop, muting techniques, and subtle lead fills.
Horn Section (Trombone, Trumpet, Sax): Tight brass players who can read/arrange riffs, blast punchy hooks, and build massive solos.
What We’re Looking For
Reliable, authentic sounding gear and reliable transport.
Rehearsing fortnightly in the Wolverhampton area.
Good vibes, ego-free attitude, and commitment to learning setlists efficiently.

I am a touring bass player who is experienced in running bands, booking shows and playing Ska & Reggae. I have a fantastic female singer already on board. We are excited to meet anyone interested, with the right expertise and will be looking to start rehearsals asap. Gigs will be around the midlands area.
