A couple of weeks ago we announced that we were beginning the search for the next member of Fracture.
We’ve had some interest and some good conversations so far - thank you to everyone who’s been in touch, tagged someone or shared the original post.
We haven’t met or auditioned anyone yet, so the position is very much still open.
We’ve also refined exactly what we’re looking for: we need a GUITARIST.
Keith has decided he’s staying exactly where he belongs on bass, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable playing rhythm guitar but can also step up and play lead on some songs.
There’s no need for anyone to be parachuted into the band overnight. Daz will be staying with us to see out the rest of 2026, and we’re looking for our new guitarist to take over from January 2027. That gives us some time to find the right person, get rehearsals underway and make the transition properly.
We’re an established Gloucester-based hard rock band with hundreds of gigs under our belts, original material, our second album in the works and plenty more planned.
We’re looking for more than somebody who can simply play the notes.
Stage presence and image are a must. This is super important.
We want someone who looks like they belong in a rock band and performs like they belong in one too. Energy, enthusiasm, confidence and interaction on stage are a big part of what Fracture is about. We put on a show, and we need our new guitarist to be someone who embraces that.
The other bits:
You’ll need your own professional-quality guitar and live rig.
You’ll need to drive and have your own transport.
You’ll need reasonable midweek availability for rehearsals. We generally rehearse on Monday or Tuesday evenings. It won’t necessarily be every week forever, but expect rehearsals to be pretty regular - and likely weekly initially while you learn the set.
Backing vocals would be a massive bonus.
You’ll need to be reliable, committed and enthusiastic about what we’re doing - but equally importantly, you need to be someone we actually enjoy spending time with. We take the band seriously. Ourselves considerably less so.
We want somebody who wants to contribute creatively and become a proper member of Fracture - not just turn up, play guitar and go home.
