Hello!
We've been playing in an indie-rock-soul band for about 5 years around Bristol and are looking for some new members due to people moving countries!
We have a range of established music that we've written, but also open to writing new music and seeing what direction works with new people (which might not be previous songs/band set up). Very much into the feel of band members coming together to make something special rather than it being rigid or prescriptive. Would be looking to write music together so we're looking for people who are interested in that process. We've played lots of gigs around Bristol and the UK so up for gigging too. Previous set up was guitars, drums, bass, piano, vocals. We're looking for a drummer, guitarist, bassist and open to any other instruments if it sounds good!
Ideally looking for people who can dedicate a few hours a week consistently to practice/writing, then gigs on top of that. We're in our 30's and would be looking for someone mid 20's-40's based in/near Bristol. Mainly looking for people that are fun to hang out with, are bloody awesome musicians and want to create music for the love of it. If you're good at getting gigs, photography or promotion on social media that is an added bonus!!
Current line up:
Vocals- Female soulful vocalist, singer songwriter. Has been singing in bands for many years, both cover bands and original bands, trained through grades in singing and trained in piano through the grades classically.
Keyboard- Female atmospheric dreamy style. Has been playing piano for many years, played in several bands, also plays drums, bass, guitar, clarinet through classical and jazz grades.
The kind of influences to give an idea have been...
- Mazzy Star
- Catatonia
- Cranberrys
- Fleetwood Mac
- Florence Road
- Wolf Alice
If you're interested, send a message with a link, video or description of the kind of things you play. We can send you some links/videos/spotify of the previous band then and see if it could fit.
We'd book factory studios for a block of time and have a few people come down and play together to see if it gels, and maybe go for a drink after to see if we'd fit.
Cheers, Maddy
