Hello!
Fates Hollow is a progressive rock band from Oldham, Manchester, and we're looking for some talented folks to come join us.
Our sound could be compared to Coheed, The Dear Hunter, Deftones, Porcupine Tree etc. Nothing insane, but definitely a little bit more than just a rock band as far as the songs go.
We're looking for a lead guitarist and a bassist, close to us in age so late 20s/early 30s. That isnt strict though.
Must have a passion for playing, not be just someone that picks up their instrument once a month.
You're gonna need your own gear, and it would be great if you were able to travel to Oldham where we practice.
We dont want someone who will stand there and be told what to do, or just play root notes and think thats good enough. We want you to put your own character into this music and add your own vibe. Your creativity is encouraged and welcomed! This is a group effort after all.
You will need a decent knowledge of time signatures and a little tiny bit of theory to be totally happy with this, but dont expect dream theater style sh*t, just a basic understanding is fine.
We're currently about a third of the way through demoing an album, you can take a listen to a couple of the tracks below in rough form to get a feel for the sound we're going for.

We're hoping to get some rehearsals up and running as soon as we find someone we think is right for the band, with some gigs maybe beginning in the tail end of the year and some studio time starting 2024.
