I am putting together a Beatles tribute band focusing on the period from the Revolver album onwards. This is not a dressing up tribute thing, nor is it a fake Liverpudlian accent kind of thing either.
It will be a true and accurate portrayal of the music with attention to detail.
I have spent the past 18 months working with some excellent musicians which for many commitment related reasons didn’t quite pan out.
Essentially, I’m looking for a drummer, Rhythm Guitarist, Lead guitarist and keyboard player, preferably with a minimum of backing vocals, and at least one with lead vocal capability.
The keyboard player will be handling not only the usual piano/keyboard parts but also representing the orchestral arrangements, many of which I have already worked out. I play bass, sing and can also double up on keyboards when required for some of the more complex arrangements.
I have a forensic ear for detail.
It doesn’t matter to me if you have little or no experience playing live, or what age you are, as long as you are a competent musician, can handle the parts, and are prepared to work hard to make this band a cut above the rest.
The key is accuracy, not only with playing the parts true to the recordings, but with attention to representing the sound as well. This will set us apart from the average cover band.
If you have heard of The Analogues then this will be similar but without the orchestra and on a more realistic budget.
It’s a tall order, but the past 18 months have proved that it is most definitely possible with the right people. I also play guitar and keyboards and as previously mentioned have many of the arrangements already in hand. This project is ready to go, with the right people.
The idea is that band members will spend time nailing their parts which we will then rehearse.
This will definitely be an exciting and challenging project.
Contact me if you are serious about being in a great band.
