Hey!
I’m a guitarist in Norwich looking to connect with musicians to start a project or join an existing setup. I’m completely past the hyper-ambitious "rock star" bs —I’m just looking for grounded, easy-going people to hang out, create music, and see where it goes.
Ideally looking for people in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties so we’re roughly in the same boat and have some common ground to chat about.
Music & Sound:
It definitely helps if we share a similar record collection. My tastes lean heavily towards the indie, rock, and alternative scenes, particularly bands associated with labels like Run For Cover, Memory Music, and Big Scary Monsters. I’m always open to new music though!!
I’m very tech-savvy and heavily into the sonic side of things. I play with a decent pedal setup and have a strong background in production and audio tech, so I love focusing on how a band actually sounds as a whole unit. It would be brilliant to connect with other players who appreciate the gear, tone, and production side of making music, too.
The Vibe & Approach:
For me, a band should be a fun creative outlet and a good hangout, not a high-stress environment. I really don’t care how long you’ve been playing or how technically gifted you are—as long as we click, lock in musically, and get along well, that's what matters. I'm just looking for reliable people who appreciate good dynamics in a rehearsal room (i.e., we actually want to hear each other play, rather than just turning everything up to eleven).
Schedule & Consistency:
I work a standard daytime schedule, so my evenings and weekends are highly consistent. I’m looking for a project with similar stability—people who have the time to commit to regular sessions without the constant schedule clashes that come with uni, childcare or shift work.
Logistics:
I’m totally open to sharing ideas and collaborating remotely to get things moving, but getting into a practice room for in-person sessions is the end goal.
Drop me a message:
Even if you're not looking to jump straight into a full band project right now but just fancy grabbing a beer or a coffee to talk gear and music, definitely get in touch! Always good to connect with more people in the local scene.
