Drummer wanted for covers/party band Birmingham

Atomic Velvet are looking for a drummer to complete our female-fronted 4-piece rock covers/party band.

We already have vocals, guitar and bass in place, a strong set of songs together, and we’re looking for someone who wants to join a proper working band rather than start something from scratch.

Our previous drummer has unfortunately had to step away for health reasons, so we’re now looking for someone new to join Atomic Velvet and become part of the band moving forward.

We play a broad mix of rock, pop and alternative covers, and we’ve put our own stamp on quite a few of them — making some a little heavier, punchier or more rock-orientated than the originals. Artists include:

The Darkness, Blink-182, Alanis Morissette, Blondie, Kelly Clarkson, Wolfmother, Bruno Mars, Dolly Parton, Republica, No Doubt, The Black Keys and more.

We’re based in Birmingham and are aiming to gig around twice a month.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, solid, adaptable and comfortable playing across different styles. You don’t need to be the flashiest drummer in the room, but good timing, dynamics and playing for the song matter.

Just as importantly, we want someone easy to get on with who actually enjoys being part of a band. We want rehearsals and gigs to be fun, without losing the commitment needed to make the band work.
