???? Bass, Beat, and Beyond: We Need You (Seriously, We Do) ????
WANTED: Musicians who can commit to more than just a vague 'maybe'.
Tired of bedroom rockstars and drummers who promise the moon but can't keep a simple 4/4 beat? So are we!
We're a band (currently an aspiring duo/trio) looking to graduate from loud thinking to actual music-making, and we need some solid human beings to fill the gaps.
Who We're After
The Drummer (Must have rhythm) The Engine Room. We need someone who owns a kit (or can access one), knows how to use it, and isn't afraid of a metronome. If you can count to four without getting distracted, you're halfway there.
The Bass Player (The Low End Theory) The Glue. We need someone who understands the difference between a guitar and a bass (it's not just the number of strings). Must be able to groove and resist the urge to constantly solo.
The Rhythm/Lead Guitar Player (The Six-String Sorcerer) The Spark. Versatility is key! Can you riff? Can you solo without making our audience weep (in a bad way)? Are you okay playing gasp rhythm when it's needed?
The Commitments
Location - Practice once a week, reliably, in Penrith. If Penrith feels like a journey to Narnia for you, this won't work.
The Vibe - We are not looking for dreamers, dabblers, or people who use 'finding themselves' as an excuse for not turning up. We want players who are ready to commit to the grind, learn the songs, and eventually play actual, paid, slightly awkward-but-fun gigs.
The Repertoire - Open to all decent genres (no 4-hour jazz fusion epics, please). Bring your ideas, we'll bring the mild chaos.
If you 1. Own the gear, 2. Can reliably get to Penrith, and 3. Genuinely want to be in a gigging band (and not just talk about it), then hit us up!
Ready to swap practice rooms for stages? Send us a message with what you play and your favourite practice snack!
Sound - Alice in Chains/ Foos / Audioslave
