JOSH HOMME WANTED – ESTABLISHED QOTSA TRIBUTE | PAID UK GIGS
Queens of the Stoned Age are searching for a new frontman/guitarist to take on the role of Josh Homme in our established Queens of the Stone Age tribute band.
Our current Josh is stepping away due to logistical challenges following a relocation, leaving us with some big shoes to fill!
We're a North East-based tribute act with an established reputation, a strong following, great relationships with venues and promoters across the UK, and gigs already booked for 2027, including festival opportunities.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
Authenticity is at the heart of what we do.
Our current line-up is 100% authentic to the actual Queens of the Stone Age, with every member fulfilling their respective instrumental and musical roles.
To our knowledge, we're the only QOTSA tribute in the UK operating with this fully authentic line-up. Other tributes either omit the keyboard player or use different instrumental arrangements.
We take pride in recreating the full QOTSA live experience, not just playing the songs.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
First and foremost, you must be able to convincingly replicate Josh Homme's distinctive vocals and guitar playing.
We're looking for someone who can do the music justice, deliver a commanding live performance and bring the confidence, character and presence needed to front a QOTSA tribute.
Requirements:
Strong vocals capable of accurately delivering Josh Homme's distinctive tone, style and range.
Competent guitarist capable of faithfully reproducing Josh's guitar parts whilst singing.
Professional-standard equipment suitable for gigs of varying sizes.
Availability for approximately 12–15 gigs per year, travelling throughout the UK, including festivals.
Own transport, or the ability to meet at an agreed collection point for gigs.
Ability to rehearse approximately fortnightly during periods of introducing new material. Rehearsals take place in the North East, usually around Blaydon or the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate.
A professional, reliable attitude and a willingness to contribute to an established band.
WHAT WE OFFER
Paid gigs: Typically £130–£200 per member, per show, after expenses. Actual earnings vary depending on ticket sales and individual show arrangements.
2027 bookings already secured, with established relationships with venues and promoters across the UK.

A stable, committed line-up: Our existing members have been playing together for over 4.5 years.

We're not starting from scratch. The foundations are already in place, and we're looking for someone who wants to become a permanent part of the band and help us continue pushing forward.
