Deftones Tribute Act – Looking for Like-Minded Musicians (Northamptonshire)
I'm looking to start a dedicated Deftones tribute act from scratch and am looking for like-minded musicians who share the same passion for one of the most distinctive bands in alternative metal.
I'm a guitarist in my 40s and have been a huge Deftones fan since the 90s. This isn't intended to be just another covers band. The aim is to recreate the Deftones sound as closely as possible, both musically and sonically, and deliver an immersive live experience that does the band justice and gives fans something special.
Musicians wanted:
Lead vocalist – someone comfortable with Chino's diverse vocal style, from melodic and atmospheric vocals to heavier screams.
Bass player – capable of capturing the band's distinctive low-end sound.
Drummer – tight, powerful and comfortable with the band's dynamics.
Keyboardist / synth player – potentially, to help recreate some of the atmospheric layers and textures.
The plan:
Starting completely from scratch.
Rehearsals based in Northamptonshire, although happy to consider musicians from surrounding areas.
Build a minimum 60-minute set covering different eras of Deftones.
Aim to get out gigging in 2027.
A commitment to getting the songs right rather than rushing things.
I'm looking for musicians who are reliable, committed and genuinely passionate about Deftones. Experience playing live would be a bonus, as the ultimate goal is to create a high-quality tribute that captures not just the music but the atmosphere and energy of a Deftones show.
This is about enjoying what we do, taking pride in getting it right and creating something that fellow Deftones fans will genuinely appreciate.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, drop me a message. It would be great to hear from you!
