The Mustangs Country Band urgently need to find a good Country Lead Guitarist / Lead Guitar Player
The band comprises friendly mature, seasoned people (in their 60’s) each with significant past gigging experience. We have a repertoire of 75+ popular Country / Country Rock / Easy Listening numbers, with good vocals, and a good overall band quality sound.
We need a new person who has Good Country Lead Guitar Skills, adding Licks, Bends and Melody Sounds, with “Country Feel and Presence” to re-complete our line-up - looking to a achieve a high overall presentation and sound quality as a band, to gig about twice / three times a month. We have and can get regular future dates and would look to induce and firm up with the revised line-up to take us forward again very quickly.
We have Good PA Systems, Monitors, Back Line Amps, Instruments and Lighting gear; and most of the building blocks including Graphics, Back Drop, Insurance, PAT Testing etc are in place. We have facilities that we use to meet / for rehearsal purposes.
Our songs are from the likes of the Eagles, Mavericks, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Alan Jackson, George Straight, Merle Haggard, Gordon Lightfoot, Willie Nelson, Gram Parsons, George Jones, Randy Travis, Highway 101, Don Gibson, Hank Williams et al . Our Country stretches to Smokie, The Beatles, Stones, etc, Your interest in Country and your Country Lead Guitar sound is what is sought.
Our target audiences are relaxed atmosphere Social Clubs, Holiday Parks, Party Events and Festivals etc, and possibly some Pubs.
We want to play Country as it sounded and is missed and loved from a few years ago - when it had a heart and tradition (yes those Life Experience, Drinking & Cheating Songs !!) and also some decent stuff from the last few years.
As a Band, if we can find a like-minded and committed Lead Guitar person, to complete the jigsaw we hope with your help and shaping to be into “something” really good for the next 5-10 years. Its not necessarily a question of money, we just want to focus and play, build an excellent reputation and standard as a performing country band, and feel we have done, and can do, “a very good night” for our listeners, audiences and hosts.
Please do consider our programme to be influenceable and changeable by you. We have committed to be, and are, a Country Band. We are not a Rock or a Blues Band, and we are not trying to be a tribute band.
Thanks for reading and should you be interested please respond
Thanks. Mike Delph
