Compounds are looking for a professional, committed drummer and guitarist to join our ranks. We're a melodic hardcore punk band, high energy live, serious about our craft, but we don't forget to have fun along the way.
Age Range: 25–45
Members are based across Reading and Southampton, so anywhere along that stretch works perfectly but not limited to if your happy to travel. We rehearse around 1–2 times a month (likely more until the new members are settled in), with the main focus this year on finishing and recording new material. We want a guitarist and drummer who brings something to the songs, not just keeps the time.
Our previous drummer stepped away due to other commitments and our current guitarist is looking to step down once a replacement is found.
After winning M2TM Southampton in 2025 and playing Bloodstock's New Blood stage, we have no intention of slowing down.
We have a mix of influences, and you can hear that in our sound but overall sound a bit like Comeback Kid and Counterparts but go check out Spotify however were looking for anyone who’s open to influences from skate punk, post hardcore, Midwest emo through to metalcore.

What We're Looking For in a drummer
• Experienced drummer with a strong live presence
• Comfortable playing to clicks or backing tracks
• Able to program MIDI drums for home recording (a bonus)

• Experienced guitarist with a strong live presence
• Ability to play both rhythm and lead
• Able to bring the energy on stage

In general
• Reliable, communicative, and able to commit to rehearsals and gigs
• Own gear and transport
• Willing to get involved with social media
• Happy to contribute a small monthly amount to the band fund, which goes toward merchandise, travel, and recordings
Beyond the music, we'd love to find someone who genuinely fits with the group, band practice shouldn't be the only time you want to hang out.
