YOU:
Looking for some smexy low tones to finish up our line up. You'll need to be a competent bassist, but don't let that idea put you off. We're completely down with walking you through our pieces if you're the right person for it. As far as vocals go, some gang vocals would be wanted, aswell as backing screams if you can, but it's not a deal breaker. The main thing you need to be able to do is harmonise, but it's always something we can work on as I truly believe anyone can sing if you just teach them to harness their vocal chords.
GENRE:
So basically imagine everything Biffy Clyro has ever done and squash it into a band. It's got the heart breaking sweeping sad moments from Blackened Sky, the inherent spazzy nature of Vertigo of Bliss, the dark screamy moments from Infinity Land, aswell as the melodic elements the later three albums conveyed. (I've not listened to Ellipses but what I've heard I've not liked, so we're not counting that one). All of this covered with a 90's influenced sound and a lead vocal once described as "The perfect mixture of Kurt Cobain, Billy Corgan and Frank Black", aswell as a hardcore punk and math rock influence bringing in a sound that is dynamically varied; melodic and incoherent aswell as being aggressive and sad all at once.
US:
We're looking to take this seriously, with upwards of two rehearsals a week and once we're ready, tours galore with frequent trips to the studio and generally having a f***king party the entire time. As seriously as we're gonna take the business side, the band is still all about showing up, playing loud and proud, making tonnes of new friends and having a blast the entire time. Will sleeping in a van/ driving all night suck? Yes. Will the show at the end of the night be worth it?
If you're asking that you're not right for it.
Hope we caught your attention future bassist, if not, peace and love all the way motherf***er <3
(You should probably message us though because we're reaaalllyyy cool.)
My old band so you can check it out, the sound is somewhat similar, however back then it was more punk influenced than it is nowadays.
