???? FRACTURE ARE LOOKING FOR A GUITARIST… OR A BASSIST! ????
So… here we go.
Following last week’s news that Daz has decided to leave Fracture, the search officially begins for the next member of the band. We’re keeping our options open.
We’re looking for an experienced lead/rhythm guitarist OR bassist to join us as we head into the next chapter of Fracture. We have some flexibility within the existing line-up, so ultimately we’re more interested in finding the right person than deciding in advance which instrument they need to play.
We’re an established five-piece rock band with hundreds of gigs under our belts, blinding covers, original material, a second album in the works and absolutely no intention of slowing down. Our sound is rooted firmly in hard rock, with plenty of influence from the bands that made loud guitars, huge choruses and great hair choices such a good idea in the first place. ????
But this isn’t just about finding someone who can play well. We’re looking for someone who loves this kind of music. Someone who wants to contribute creatively. Someone reliable, committed and up for rehearsing, recording and gigging - but, just as importantly, someone we’ll enjoy having a beer and a laugh with while doing it.
And when it comes to playing live, we want someone who looks and feels like they belong on that stage. Stage presence matters to us. We want enthusiasm, energy and someone who genuinely performs rather than just stands there playing all the right notes. You don’t need to arrive with a wind machine and your own pyrotechnics, but you get the idea. ????
A couple of practical things…
???? You’ll need your own professional-quality instrument and live rig. We’re an established gigging band, so your gear needs to be reliable and suitable for the stages we play.
???? You’ll need to drive and have your own transport.
???? You’ll also need reasonable midweek availability for rehearsals. We generally practise on Monday or Tuesday evenings. It won’t necessarily be every week long-term, but rehearsals are fairly regular and will probably need to be weekly to begin with while we get you up to speed with the set.
Backing vocals would be a definite bonus. Rock-star poses can be taught. ????
We’re Gloucestershire based, with plans already well underway for the next phase of the band.
