Alternative Rock Songwriter wanting to start a band East London

I will start by warning, this band will never make it big, we will probably never sell out Wembley, and it probably won't make you more attractive to people of your preferred gender(s). What I hope it will be is a fun way to make some music and play some shows to at least one person we didn't bring along.

I'm a 34 year old man based in East London and got back into song writing over the last year and a half. I now have a bunch of demos I recorded and a need to band to come together, go through them, pick them apart and rebuild them with all the different influences and perspectives brought in by everyone and make them good.

My influences are quite varied and what I write is a little all over the place. Some various bands that I think have influenced me a lot are Radiohead, REM, Silversun Pickups, Jimmy Eat World, Martha, Muncie Girls, English Teacher, Porridge Radio. The lyrics I write have a lot of themes of left wing politics, queerness and neurodivergence. Ideally looking for musicians who share similar politics/values and queer/allies. We would likely be looking at using practice studios around Hackney/Walthamstow
