Hi, Essex based established 50’s/60’s ROCKNROLL/ROCKABILLY band seeking very experienced bass player M/F
Double bass would be great! but also open to electric bass player.
We play mostly RocknRoll with a bit of Rockabilly thrown in..
Singer lives Bromley,South London & the rest of us live North Essex.
All mature guys.
We practice usually at either Stag Studios,Witham or Card Trick at Chelmsford,as central to us all.
Practice is usually a couple of times a month, but would probably have to up that little for a while when new bass comes onboard.
Band has been established about four/five years now.
Playing mostly social clubs, an occasional nice pub here or there, & private events around Essex/East London/South Suffolk/occasionally North Kent.
We have gigs booked this year at places like..Darford,Buckhurst Hill, Walthamstow, Brentwood,Wakering,
Bexleyheath,Braintree,Colchester,
and a couple in Felixstowe. Etc, etc..
We haven’t got any booked in North Kent this year, but we did 3 or 4 there last year including a festival so that’s a definite possibility to bear in mind.
Please only apply if you’re ok to travel around those areas for gigs.
Gigging 15-20 times a year roughly, we currently have 16 gigs booked this year, 2026..

Around 36/38 songs on the go…usual suspects plus a few surprises..
We like a laugh,and very easy going, but also serious about the music.
Quite a hard hitting, rockin’ band so if you’re looking for a quieter melodic type group, this may not be for you..
Looking for someone reliable & experienced who knows and likes this type of music.
Must have driving licence/own transport/good gear.
Must be also a reliable, easy going player who would fit in with us.

If you’re not ‘into’ 50’s/60’s RnR & Rockabilly thanks for reading, but probably best not to apply.
Money wise, we’re not ‘professionals’ & as such so don’t earn pots of wonga (Although we play in a professional manner)
We usually pick up somewhere around £400 a ‘normal’ gig, split between four of us.
