Quick update for anyone who's seen my earlier posts, or if this is new to you.
GigXchange just crossed 121 musicians, venues, agents and promoters in 4 weeks. No ad budget, no launch campaign — just posts like this one and word of mouth. I'm genuinely thankful people have backed it this early.
For the uninitiated: GigXchange is the UK's peer-to-peer live music marketplace. Anyone can start a booking — artist, venue, agent or promoter. As an artist that means you're not sat waiting to be picked. You can list your availability, pitch venues direct, get found by bookers searching your genre and area, or run your own ticketed nights if you want to self-promote.
Your profile does the heavy lifting — tracks, video, calendar, genre tags, verified reviews. One link that works as press kit, booking form and gig calendar all at once.
Last couple of weeks I've shipped a proper stack of self-serve tools for artists:
- Promo cards, tour posters and setlist builders — your own artwork in minutes
- Fan mailing lists and in-app tipping — grow and monetise your audience direct
- Invoice generator for anything booked off-platform
- Event promotion, ticketing with QR door scanning, attendance tracking
- Premium public profile tier — full press-kit-style page
- Agent rosters — clean roster management for agents running multiple artists
I've been building this solo to give the UK music scene the tools it deserves. It's still rough in places but coming together extremely fast, and your feedback will genuinely shape what ships next.
Free to sign up, and the first 250 members keep free access forever — 129 spots left.
