looking for something interesting – Bedford / MK / herts London or meet some like-minded people and start something new.
I’m currently in a couple of bands. One is a sort of dub/acid-jazz thing; the other is straight punk…. imagine Elvis reanimated from hell
pretty broad taste in music and write a lot myself.
less bothered about what genre something belongs to and more interested in making something that’s interesting.
what I’m listening to at the moment: Suicide, The Damned, Sonic Youth, Talking Heads, Violent Femmes, ShitKid, Crack Cloud, The Stranglers, Warmduscher, Aphex twin, Viagra Boys, Killing Joke, Dead Kennedys, Joy Division, The Cure, the stooges, the mystery lights, king krule, bad nerves, prison affair, Billy Bragg, RMFC, Shame, The Smiths. Parquet Courts.
Like punk, post-punk, new wave, ambient, noisy, quiet, just music…... I’ve also got a lot of love for early 90s grunge and 80s alternative as well as electronic.
if I think it’s good, I like it.
I want to do something with atmosphere and space…. Playing around with rhythms and textures.
play bass with my fingers and pick, use fuzz/effects and can do backing vocals too.
I’m interested in originals rather than a straight covers band. Happy to join something established or start from scratch and see what happens.
Based in Bedford. Gear, transport, plenty of band and gigging experience and happy to travel for the right thing.
If you’re making something interesting and need a decent bassist, or you’ve got a half-formed idea and need someone to help turn it into a band, get in touch. Send me some music, demos, rehearsal recordings, ideas — whatever you’ve got. I’m up for meeting, having a play and seeing what happens.
Peace xx
Email me, bitch
