Hello!
My name is Leo and I'm a 26 y/o singer/songwriter/producer looking to join or form a new originals or covers band! I am mainly a Classic And Alternative Rock based musician, but I am open to performing a variety of other styles including but not limited to Funk, Blues, and some contemporary pop (think Amy Winehouse, Adele, etc).
In regard to me, my vocal style is inspired by a variety of singers and acts from the 20th century, I have spent over a year performing live, been singing and writing music for around 8 years, and have written hundreds of original material. As I said, I am very open to trying new things, but my sound is rooted in 90's alternative rock (Radiohead), leaning into experimentalism, alongside the more classic stuff like Led Zeppelin, late Beatles work, and Queen. The demo on this page (https://voca.ro/1jFP8teUbLkh)is an example of one of the pieces of work I have made working with others, and a good example of the kind of sound that I enjoy working with.
In my ideal band, all members would be meaningfully contributive, even if someone can't write songs, they should still be able to add their own flair to their element of any songs. I believe the best work comes when people are allowed the space to express themselves, especially when they lack confidence. Personally, as long as there is a good human relationship, I have no issues working with anyone regardless of characteristics, beliefs, opinions etc.
My biggest inspiration right now is The Beatles, who came very close (but not quite) to the kind of mutually respectful collaborative level I would like to be a part of. To be very clear, I will not accept working with people who refuse to give other people in the band the space to at least have their ideas considered and genuinely heard, whether they are good or not is besides the point hahah.
