First of all I'd like to say that whilst playing both guitar and providing vocals are an option, I'm happy with either or in this situation.
I've been a vocalist in bands for tenish years and a guitarist for about 15. I've spent many years touring the country and countless hours in studios bringing me to now at 29 years old, still working freelance but now as a content editor and copywriter.
I've got professional grade equipment and a good attitude, holding myself to a high standard of performance and take feedback well.
Guitar wise, my genre interest goes from radio friendly rock and pop like Keane and Coldplay, all the way to Progressive metal, and most things in between. I'm a competent guitarist who can play most things I get my hands on with some practice, so can slot in where you need me for guitar purposes.
Vocally I'd say I'm more inclined towards heavier music as my voice breaks up nicely, giving good rock, punk and metal tones. I can also scream, though I only ever bothered learning fry technique so no death growls or anything like that, and have well trained ears for good melodic dictation.
I'm self taught in everything I do, but I studied my practice very carefully in order to properly learn, and educated myself with some basic music theory. It's fair to say my scope is limited in that regard but I can effectively communicate with correct terminology (I learned american not traditional so quarter notes not crotchets, if you ask me to play a minim I'll get confused very quickly lmao).
I am currently working on two seperate musical projects, with one being an alternative rock band that is only studio based and takes up about 3 days of my time every two months, and a progressive metal band that rehearses on Monday and Thursday evenings consistently.
It might sound like I don't have the time for another project but trust me I do, I'm very efficient at my job and it's freelance meaning I can do the work literally whenever. This means I have far too much free time for my own good at the minute, hence the ad.
