Tiny Forehead seeking lead guitar/ keys/ other instrument player to complete lineup.
Different ages in a band creates fresh energy, with younger members offering expressive, empathetic, inclusive tech savvy skills and elders offering sanity, better vehicles and multi experiences of musical life.
We’ve already sorted the core band which includes an 18 year old female drummer and 20 something female rhythm guitarist/ singer. Male singer and male bassist over 50. We are looking for an ideally female lead guitar/ keys/ other player who can hopefully sing as well. Because we’ve covered the “elder” angle we are looking for under 40’s.
We’re doing a completely new set, so no old stuff- so were all working together at the same level . For now.
To avoid faffage, there are a few non negotiables so we don’t waste mutual time:
• No Reform/ MAGA types (don’t think you can get round this).
• Listen to our music first. Links to it on socials.
• Practice in Nottingham weekly, ideally a Wednesday night, if we’re a 5 piece that’s about £8.50 each
• Gigs twice a month, usually in one cluster i.e. Fri/ Sat so we all have family time. The occasional 3rd gig. Couple of months off a year.
• We do OK for our positioning as an indie alt band, but for now money is bobbins - stick to wedding events if you’re after dosh.
• Wanting to get on immediately with jamming and gigging. If you need 3 days to reply, this band isn't for you
We have lots of released tracks on streaming and two music videos- and a ton of gigs lined up including the Adelphi Hull, and a support with Healthy Junkies.
Be great to have a beer and a chat in the first instance if you think the band could be your cup of tea -
