GUITARISTS…
Do you feel the need, the need for speed?
Do you fantasise about playing Van Halen’s ‘Beat It’ solo?
Do you want to watch the sun go down on Echo Beach?
Do you desire a wardrobe of double denim, acid wash jeans, white T-shirts?
Do you find yourself involuntary gyrating to Prince’s Kiss?
If you answered yes to all of the above……the Rewinders want you in 2027!
Our most excellent guitarist, Deccy Van Halen, has decided to hang up his high-tops and move on from the 1980’s and come back to the future.
So, we are now looking for a new band member to join us from January; someone with bodacious guitar skills, bags of stage personality and a GSOH! BV’s preferred but not necessary.
The Rewinders is a six-piece female fronted 1980’s covers band, with a very full gig diary and a fab line up of great musicians:
Eighties Lady on vocals
Paul ‘not so’ Young on drums
Dylan Delorean on Keys
Danny Delmonte on Bass
Marty McSound on sound and electric violin.
We’re friendly, fun, supportive and can be Mental as Anything…in terms of age range, let’s say we all lived through the 80’s!
We gig around 2-3 times per month, mainly around Lancashire and Greater Manchester, and currently rehearse in Bolton.
Our set list is wide ranging, from rock to pop, 80’s soul & disco, and of course, pure unadulterated cheese! One thing that all the songs have in common are that they are TOTAL DECADE BANGERS. You will be playing the likes of Prince, Frankie GTH, Van Halen, Michael Jackson, Tears for Fears, ABC and Wham.
We are well established with a strong following, but still have an exciting future ahead of us…..because where we’re going, we don’t need roads…
