Bit of a long shot, but are there any System of a Down fans in the South of the UK who fancy getting together for a jam and seeing where it goes?
I'm a guitarist and I've been putting together a proper dual amp setup based around Daron's early SOAD sound with a mesa boogie and marshall setup, mainly the self-titled/Toxicity era. I'm at the point now where I'd love to actually play this stuff with other people and just being able to enjoy the music with anyone else in the same position.
Looking for a drummer, bassist and vocalist. If you're halfway there and need lessons i do dabble with bass and drums too and would be up for training someone with a passion. Ideally people who genuinely love SOAD and would be up for learning the songs properly. Nothing overly serious or pressured so you dont need to know music theory as long as theres passion , pure enjoyment and can play the songs — have a few jams, have a laugh and, if we click, potentially turn it into a SOAD cover/tribute band and play some gigs. Theres not much of a metal scene d9wn here so I imagine theres a hunger for it with other metal heads in the area.
I'm based in the South of England, so happy to hear from people around Sussex/Surrey/Kent/Hampshire or reasonably nearby.
Age isn't particularly important. Just be decent at what you do, reliable, and most importantly actually enjoy the music.
If you're interested, drop me a message and see where it goes. ????
Ps. System would be the start just to have some fun and perform some high energy songs but would like to expand into making original music too but let's just see where it goes .
