We're a well-established dance music band, playing classic soul, Motown, 70s, 80s & 90s club classics in addition to modern dance numbers. We are all very experienced musicians, playing to a professional level, with the confidence to put our own (respectful) mark on the songs, in many instances, working up our own arrangements. The band is popular and feedback is always superb - we know how to fill dance floors and entertain our audiences. As a result, we are invariably rebooked and dates are in the diary,
So why are we advertising? This is the one ad we hoped never to have to place - as a result of health issues, our fantastic female vocalist has decided to step away from our band after nearly twelve years of working together. So we are looking to find someone to take up this role. As for us, we are a six-piece, comprising drums, bass, keys, guitar and a male vocalist, with whom we hope you will form a strong double act.
We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced female vocalist with a good, wide vocal range and a flair and a passion for the music and performing it live. As a band, most of us have been together for many years, some since the very start. We are a friendly easy going bunch and get on well, one of the reasons we worked together happily for so long. The band is ego-free, but we are very serious about the music. Therefore, the person we seek will be an experienced live performer, but must also fit into a down to earth and friendly team. The age range in the band is wide, so how old you might be is not important, fit and experience are much more valuable to us.
We're always forward looking, so its an opportunity to get into an established unit and have an influence, bringing your own ideas as to what we play and how we do it. Again, we never thought we'd have to fill this slot, but we are where we are.
