I'm looking for band members for my new project - a spiritually driven, alternative, cross genre set up ...
musically speaking: tribally dancey but also some heavier elements of goth / atmospheric... Kinda hard to explain but think fever ray & chelsea Wolfe style vocals mixed with spoken word aspects of orchestral/epic instrumentation
The themes behind my song/style is very existential, spiritual and explorative, and the project will be tied in with my sound journey and meditation projects name and theme wise. But obviously a different thing.
My artist name for my spoken word and meditation music etc is Ark of the Void... So I'm thinking the name could be something like ark and the voids, although no, that's lame - but you get the idea.
My musical background is electronic production, spoken word / rapper, etheric & tribal vocal..so vocals style will be flitting between rappish vocals and more belted ballad style stuff.
I'm open to the line up, but thinking somewhere along the lines of electric guitar , keys / synth, didge
, some sort of strings (cello. Double bass or violin vibes) drums - thinking more djembe and percussion than a kit.
I also play various flutes, Inc fujara, and jaw harps, and would defo be incorporating my cloudburst pedal into it
I do have some very very basic rough ideas sort of pieces not really anything ready to send over, and it's also probably going to be quite a chill moving thing to begin with, but I'm aiming for hitting the conscious festival circuit , maybe next year... I have connections in the scene and a background in media and content creation so bursting full of ideas. Drop me a pm if you want to hear more.
