Hey! I'm looking to find the right musicians to work with with the goal of making very good quality original music. I am thinking it will likely be around the rock/hardrock/classic metal genres, but most importantly it will be music with character and a difference.
I'm not generally looking for the average musician who has been around the block many times gigging - I say that because that is the story and background of the average musician , and while, yes, it does bring experience it also bares the meaning that they likely haven't got what it takes to make it.
Now, while ability of a musician isn't the be all and end all for me, I've been around long enough to learn that people generally only really value the things that they've already got - If you don't have what it takes to really make it then you won't value those things, and so for me, that's something to be avoided.
So, I'm looking for 'special' musicians. What is it that makes you special musically?
I write and have written alot of very good quality lyrics and it's taken me roughly 25 years to get my singing and voice to a level, which to anyone who knows what they're talking about and not blind to the things that make the difference, will usually call 'brilliant'.
So, that's why I need special musicians - it might be that you're/they're the type that don't think they're special. I am meaning, mostly, 'special' as in musical background, story wise and attitude - Not necessarily in ability. (Although that definitely helps)
So (mind the language) if you're not up your own ass so much that you don't appreciate the things that make the difference to the OVER ALL SOUND then please do let me know - It is afterall, primarily, the overall sound of what it is that you create in music that takes you where you are going, and so, if that isn't the primary thing that matters with a band then that band will always miss 'the big time'!
This will not be about social 'fitting' or who likes who or who doesn't like who or who's jealous of who or any of that rubbish - Because those things have no baring on the overall sound of the music.
This will be a professional and dedicated attempt by a group of musicians to make the best music that we can make. Which should really be the goal of all musicians shouldn't it? The music industry would definitely be producing a lot more good music right now if that was the case!
