To whoever is reading this, hello!
My name is M.J and I'm looking to join a band, or at least start a band with some other musicians. I play a few instruments, like drums/guitar/keys, however I mainly work as a guitarist with the occasional backing vocals. I spend a lot of time writing and recording demos but I haven't really gone much further than that.
I really am just looking to find musicians that are passionate (above everything else). I don't expect anybody to be highly skilled on their instruments and I wouldn't want anyone to expect that of me, it's really just about making good music that we can be proud of. If you're not serious or prepared to commit yourself towards seriously making music then you're in the wrong place.
I listen to a lot of different styles of music indiscriminately, however my favourite bands are The Beatles, The Libertines, The Beach Boys, The Las's, Oasis, and so on. I drift a lot between different decades of music - some days I'm listening to a lot of 70's soft rock (James Taylor, Carole King) and other days I'm listening to pop groups from the 80's to mid 2000's. Even if you don't see your favourite bands or artists on here, just message me anyway - maybe I haven't heard them yet and would actually like them. Besides, genre doesn't really mean that much in our current musical landscape - good music is good music, regardless of what category it may fall into in a music shop.
