Singing multi-instrumentalist positions open for new band Canterbury / Herne Bay / Whitstable

PEOPLE OF ANY GENDER IDENTITY AND BACKGROUND ARE WELCOME TO AUDITION

Hey! We’re Dogs Of Theft - a new band based around Canterbury looking to form a full 5-piece line-up, playing original music and gigging very frequently. Currently we consist of a guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist (Jack) and a guitarist/drummer. (George) We’re looking to expand the line up with fellow multi-instrumentalists that have vocal talent.

Our influences include a variety of different artists both classic and modern. In general, the sound we are going for is a mainly a mixture of rock, jazz, blues, folk and pop. (And any amalgamation of these)

Some of our biggest influences include:
The Beatles / Foo Fighters / Jethro Tull / Oasis / Rush / Red Hot Chili Peppers / Electric Light Orchestra / The Jam / The Band / Stevie Ray Vaughan / Led Zeppelin / Greta van Fleet

Our general ethos is very relaxed and welcoming. We seek to let the music breathe and welcome any and all ideas, and go where the music takes us. George and I are very patient and chill and just want to play with musicians that are really talented on their respective instruments that reflect our ego-free mindsets.

Our ideal musicians would be multi-instrumentalists with vocal ability, as we want to be open to swapping instruments and definitely harmonising!

We’re also seeking the desirable criteria:
- Owns a car to get themselves to and from gigs and rehearsals
- Age range of 25-35 years old (Both of us are 26)
- Lives around the Thanet/Canterbury area of Kent (if you don’t drive)

The reason we identify these criteria is because I’ve been in groups with musicians that don’t have means of transport and it can prove difficult. It isn’t essential to drive but it would be extremely helpful if you did! This is also especially important if you live further away from us. The age range is due to us desiring longevity for the band. We hope to do a lot of travelling as we build a following so please consider your own personal circumstances in this regard! We don't wish to pull anyone away from their families, friends, jobs or other important aspects!

We have strong aspirations to make a future career in music and build a following and so are very dedicated to our craft and building a great band with equal members that commit and contribute to all the processes of a band.
