Hi,
I'm the bassist, age 44, with an already established covers band (Free Roll), looking to fill any down time we have with a side project.
Not entirely fussy as to what I'm looking for, whether it's covers, originals, a tribute band or whatever else there may be. I'm game for anything. I'm equally adept as a lead vocalist, so I'd quite fancy having a go at fronting a band but, again, I'll consider anything that comes my way.
Vocally, I have a range that goes somewhere between the likes of Sting, James Bradfield and even capable of getting some Matt Bellamy highs when I belt it out (this is the exception rather than the rule though!). I provide lead vocals for songs by the Stereophonics, Manics and Supergrass amongst others with Free Roll and add high harmonies for virtually everything else we do.
Bass playing influences include McCartney, Chris Wolstenholme, Johns Deacon, Entwistle & Taylor and, of course, Sting (Noticing a pattern here?). Gear wise, I'm using a Status bass as my weapon of choice, so I don't do cheap or rubbish!
I do have some preferred bands, but during a playing career that's spanned close to 30 years now I've played pretty much anything you can think of, so I don't have a preference genre wise either.
As stated, this is not going to be my main focus (barring anything unfortunate happening with the other band), but if anyone's up for having some fun and maybe making a few pennies on the side, message me and let's see what we can do. I can provide audio and video of both my playing and singing if anyone has any doubts!!!
Look forward to speaking to some of you.
Cheers,
Adam S
