I’m a 38-year-old bassist with over 20 years of playing and performing experience, putting together a music-focused Alice in Chains tribute.
The emphasis will be on the sound, vocal harmonies, dynamics and feel of the music rather than costumes or impersonation.
The initial four-song audition set will be:
Man in the Box
Them Bones
Rooster
Would?
For now, we will be working from the original album versions from Facelift and Dirt.
Before arranging an in-person rehearsal, applicants will be asked to send a clear audio or video recording. A phone recording is absolutely fine—I’m interested in ability, preparation and feel, not professional production.
Lead vocalist
Please submit sections from any of the 4 songs. Recordings may be performed along with the original tracks or suitable backing tracks. A recent rehearsal or live recording is also acceptable, provided your own part can be heard clearly.
Please also include:
Your location and transport situation
Your general availability
Any current band commitments
Relevant tribute-band or harmony-vocal experience
Confirmation that you are happy to prepare all four songs before an in-person audition
Vocalist Auditions will be held at My home studio in Spennymoor, County Durham, and are expected to begin from Early October 2026. Exact dates and times will be arranged individually.
Full Band Rehearsals will be at the Rocking Horse Rehearsal Rooms, Coxhoe (Time/Date TBC)
The aim is to develop an accurate and powerful live tribute suitable for rock venues, festivals and multi-tribute events, while keeping the project organised, enjoyable and properly prepared.
Message me with a brief introduction and your recording.
I’m also looking for:
Guitarist who can also sing Jerry Cantrell’s harmony parts
Drummer
