Hi,
My name's Tom and I've been working as a singer-songwriter for over ten years now. In that time I've written many songs and worked on many alternate versions of other peoples' work.
I began working with a band in Cambridge but had to disband after relocating to Salford.
I am now looking to assemble a new group to work on my material with a view to gigging and recording.
The best place to start is my album "Lone Ranger. Man of the People." which you can find at - tomlearner.bandcamp.com
To get a sense of my range I recommend listening to "Happy Worker, Productive Worker", "Don't Talk to Me of Drinking" and "I'm Still Here".
What I'm looking for:
- One electric guitarist
- One bassist (electric or upright)
- One drummer/percussionist
Competence is highly desirable but what I'm really interested in is diversity and flexibility in your playing. No two songs of mine are the same so no one formula will work.
I'm looking for musicians who are keen to stretch themselves and come up with innovative ways to develop my songs. I am not a dictator and am keen to collaborate WITH you rather than boss you around.
If things go well then longer-term I may even to introduce more diverse elements such as wind and brass instruments.
Given my location I'm ideally looking for people in the Greater Manchester area who can easily travel to a yet-to-be-confirmed rehearsal space, probably somewhere close to central Manchester.
If you like what you hear then please drop me a private message on here. I work early mornings five days a week so would be looking to practice once a week on Tuesday or Saturday evenings, although there is some scope for practicing Monday or Friday evenings. We'll work it out.
Many thanks and I look forward to hearing back from y'all!
