Hello,
I'm Dan, a Singer-songwriter looking to expand to a full band for live performances. I have in the past played some solo acoustic gigs but the majority of my songs were written/recorded to be played with a full band.
I'm influenced by a variety of different music styles (too many specific bands/artists to name!) but I would say the majority of songs are in the alternative/indie/folk Rock area. Although more recently also influenced by Soul and Funk. I quite like the idea of combining these different elements together.
I am looking for a Drummer, Bass player and Lead Guitarist. (I will do vocals & rhythm guitar)
Ideally solid players who will listen to each other and play for the song etc. rather than the ultra technical/virtuoso type players.
Happy for people that join to bring their own musicality to the songs (don't necessarily need to play everything exactly as It was done on the record etc., as long as it fits with the general feel and structure of the song if you know what I mean).
I also have some slightly newer songs which I haven't recorded properly yet so there would be a chance for musicians that join to contribute creatively to these songs.
Additionally, I would be open to the idea of players who have written their own songs bringing some of them into the mix as well.
I want the primary focus to be playing live initially and then once we have some momentum going maybe do some recording at a later stage as well.
I made an album called 'The Absurd' a while ago and plan to play some of the songs on here along with a few newer ones.
A couple of songs from 'The Absurd' album:
